What is the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Work Experience
Minimum of 1 year (1,560 hours) of full-time skilled work experience: This experience must be within the past three years of your application date.
Skilled work experience: The work experience must be in an occupation classified as Skill Level 0, A, or B of the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Part-time work: Part-time work can count towards the 1,560 hours requirement, as long as it adds up to the total within the three-year period.
Work while studying: Work experience gained while studying full-time does not count towards the CEC requirement.
Self-employment: Self-employment experience does not count towards the CEC work experience requirement.
Other Requirements
Language Ability: You must demonstrate a minimum language proficiency level of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in English or French in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Education: You must have completed secondary education (high school).
Funds: While proof of funds is not a requirement for the CEC program, you may need to demonstrate sufficient funds to support yourself and your family upon arrival in Canada.
The advantage
One of the key benefits of the CEC is the flexibility to combine work experience from multiple jobs and employers to meet the one-year requirement. Additionally, the CEC doesn’t require a specific educational qualification or a job offer.
